Founded in 1927, by Elijah Thaddius Hoctor, Hoctor industries 

was created with one goal in mind, happiness and fun. 

Since that time, Hoctor Industries has been a purveyor of world class 

baked goods, toys that entertain and delight young and old

and entertainment that is second to none in it's whimsical charm 

and informative nature.

Elijah Hoctor, professionally known as Doctor Hoctor, was born

March 27th, 1909, in the small town of R̵̩̲͙͕̾̂E̶̺̓́̍D̷̳̊Ą̸̆̋Č̵̡͉̩͕̄̈̂T̴̯̣͕̮̀͆Ȩ̶̡̢͖́͠D̴͈̲̊̔̌̃, and grew up with 

difficult circumstances. He was the child of a poor family that never 

wanted to change how they lived, Elijah's family were happy with

the bare minimum out of life and taught their children to be the same but 

Elijah always sought bigger and broader horizons.

Elijah would dream of one day being an entertainer to the world, a man of the

people, and would often spend his days drawing and creating blueprints for 

new toys and fantastical automatons that could sing, dance, play instruments

and more. Sadly he knew of no way he could reach such lofty pursuits and 

these designs would stay but ideas and dreams as technology would progress over

the ages.

Elijah would instead focus on the creation of baked treats and hard candies. 

This would allow him to not only begin his dreams of entertainment and delight

but also fulfilled the want to make a difference in his community, cookie by cookie, 

one sale at a time. Business was a success, his confections were met with community

wide acclaim and over time he began to use his profits to give his family the life that

he knew they deserved. He commissioned the building of a home in R̷͚̫̍̋̂ͅĘ̵̠̜̼͐͆̈́́̕͘͠D̴̛̳̭̮͖̤͌̌̕͘̚͝Ȃ̸̛͙̥͕͈͓̖̮͊̈́͌͐̾Ć̴͔͔̩͇̅͆͊̈́Ţ̴̣̬̥͗̀̊͒͂̕͝E̵̛̯̱̓̓́D̴̖̟̼̬̤̺̐̒

and showed them that life didn't have to be only what was given but rather what

could be made of it. 

 

When Elijah reached 18 he knew that it was time for him to make

his way out in the world and so, leaving his family with what spare savings

he could and the original factory, located in R̷̨͈̼͎̰̽̏̏̇̉̅̽̇̈́̈̀̎͊̈́͛͌̐̚͜͠ͅȨ̴̧͖̲͍̤̬̘͈̗͈̪̳͖̯̀̃́͜͜ͅͅD̶̖̉̽̌̒͑͠Ȃ̵̪̩̽̽̀͘̕͝C̷̨̧͖͍͕̼̱̜̰͚̐́̆̌͋̆̇̉̀̋́̏͛̑̒͊̄̕͜͝T̵̛͎̠͚͍̹̱͐̆́͂̍̌̎̽́̿̆̈́́͋̈̽͘͝͝ͅE̶̖̜̼̦̻͓̝̼͇͑͂͌͊͗̄̆̈́̊͛̀̎́̄͠D̶͕̙̻̱̣̋̂̌̒, he made his way out

to Chattanooga, TN to create Hoctor Industries, a company that would carry on

his goals of entertainment and the exploration of the weird and wonderful!

After Elijah's passing in 2000, Hoctor industries laid silent for a time until the discovery of a long lost heir. 

George Miller Hoctor, carrying the mantle of Doctor Hoctor, would come forward and take on the work of his relative, creating delicious baked goods such as "Doctor Hoctor's Mind Control Cookies" and working to decipher the many texts and recipes of Elijah's journal.

 

Hoctor Industries returned to the spotlight in 2019 and since then has been delighting all who cross with it!
